    • SAN ANGELO - Josephine C. Hunter was born on Nov. 7, 1912, in Graham, to Bruce and Nannie Casburn. She passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004.

      Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. in East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton.

      Josephine graduated from Graham High School and attended North Texas State College in Denton. She taught school in Padgett for two years before marrying Robert Lee Hunter Jr. of Denton. They had two sons, Charles and Michael. After her husband served in World War II, they moved to Fort Stockton, where she worked as a secretary for the Blaydes Insurance Company. She and her sister formed the company Josi-Joyce for making and selling home decorations. After Josephine and her husband moved to San Angelo in 1959, she worked as an insurance secretary for several years. Later, until her retirement, she was a bridal consultant and buyer for Hemphill-Wells.

      She was preceded in death by her son Michael in 1953 and her husband in 1995. She is survived by a son, Charles of Montclair, N.J.; a sister, Joyce Welton, of Fort Worth; step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
