    • WHAYMAN, MARY CATHERINE HEDRICK 1-22-17 to 6-19-04 Mary Whayman passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 19, 2004 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer.

      Mary was born to Paul Scott and Stella Mae Hedrick on January 22, 1917 in Mobile, Alabama. Shortly afterward, the family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where Mary graduated from Central High School. She met and married Jack Casburn in 1937 and they had one child, Phyllis. After Jacks death in 1953, Mary later married Frank Whayman, who passed away in 1961. Mary worked for Carter Oil Company which later became Exxon, retiring from Exxon in Houston, Texas. For the last twenty years she has lived in Dallas, Texas surrounded by family and a host of wonderful friends. Mary was a kind and gentle lady who was loved by all and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis and husband, Dick Damon, granddaughter Lindsey and husband Brent Dennis, and grandson Scott Damon, all of Dallas. Also surviving her are her sister and brother-in-law Bea and Charlie Rogers, and her cousin Floydena Culver, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three nephews, Paul Hedrick and wife Alma of Dallas, Scott Hedrick, wife Jan and children Elaine and Paul of Austin, and Fred Miller and daughter Amy of Tulsa. Graveside services will be held in Tulsa at Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 10:30AM.
